sweet little postcards

Hello! I was once planned to post this on daytime, because at daytime I got soo much free time and felt so bored. But I can't help myself that my mood to write just come in the night. So, one day, I received 5 postcards at the same time. Those were awesome! On my postcrossing profile, I put card preferences and these 5 postcrossers sent me just exactly what I like from a card, and I'm so glad of that. I sent them all thanks (though nobody replied) and I'm reading their messages one by one. Yes I'd love to read the messages written in a card, so when they only wrote "Happy postcrossing" or "Greetings from ..." I could be a little disappointed. Ah, but as long as I still enjoying this project, that doesn't bother me a lot ;) Now let's take a look at my new collection:

Kaunas, Lithuania
This one is from Simona in Lithuania. My friends said the writings looks like 'Kansas' stands for 'Kantin Sastra' (it's the name of the cafetaria in my faculty, faculty of literature, and it's a kinda joke haha). Well I could say that this one is a kinda favorite for me because I love multiple views in a single postcard. You could see that Kaunas is a very clean and tidy city if compared to Jakarta, the biggest city in Indonesia. Poor Jakarta. And uh.. I think Romualdas Požerskis did a very good job in choosing beautiful views from Kaunas. If only Jakarta's Photographer do something useful like this, we could tell how great Jakarta is to the entire world, right?

Oh and what I also like, Simona says Hello (Labas) and Bye (Viso) in (Lithuanian). She also wrote that she was writing in 0 degree celcius. Awesome! Here in Indonesia it's barely reaching 28 degrees. I ensure you, it's almost as hot as hell. God bless Indonesians.

Second one came from Finland. Haha told you I really love that country too, eh? (Seems that I put so many countries in my 'love' list, actually I love the UK and some random countries in Europe). I learned the Suomi languages in January, and I like it. That's why this blog's title is on Finnish. My friend once said that Finnish looks like goddesses' language. I simply like it, don't have any personal reason. Their language is so different from others I ever learnt and it's glad that I knew some Finnish words :)

Back about the postcard, I consider this one as a heart warming card. I love the color 'light blue', I like cats and flowers too. I also adore the writings after Virpi, the one sent me this told me the meaning besides those words:

Aina on liikaa tekemista
Varaa aikaa rentoutua ja too vain sita,
mika tuottaa sinulle iloa

There is always too much things to be done
Just take your time to relax and do what makes you happy

True, right?

The third is from Antalya, Turkey. I once heard the name Antalya in one of my exercise in French class. There said that we could book for a thalassotherapie holiday package (a kind of relaxing holidays in a cruise ship) while enjoying the beautiful sea of Antalya. And guess what.. I've been sent the real view from there! I was so surprised and I really likes it. The picture's just simply awesome and I'm curious to see how it'd look if I see it by my real eyes.Well, the one sent me this does hope that someday I could travel there to Antalya. And not just Antalya, I guess ;)

Voila.. the quatrieme carte sent me a food! Not a literal one.. it's just a picture on the card. And I like it. I think it's written in that card: Geschmortes Huhn mit Aprikosen, the name of that Germany nourriture. I hope it tastes as great as it looks and I really wanna taste some (if it's possible based on the list of haram food or non-haram food). Helwyne is from Berlin, and I wish her a very good year. Speaking of Berlin, which is on Germany, I send my friend Sandra a greeting! Haha. So sorry Sandra I can't follow you in blogspot because first, you write in Deutsch and second, I dont know how to follow a blog -___- Sandra is a friend I met since I wrote her a postcard in one of the last days of 2010. We haven't actually met face to face, but we sent emails to tell each other about our life. Making new friends from random people in the world, well why not?

And last (but really not least, I received and bought some postcards recently) is this one from Belarus. I kinda like the style of this drawing (or picture? painting? artwork? illustration? God why can't I just say exactly the right word to describe a thing?) And uh.. all the description about that drawing is in Belorussian language, which is similar to Russian, and I cant tell anything from that besides a writing that seems like 'Minsk'. Minsk is the capital city of Belarus, if I'm not mistaken. And uh.. speaking of Belarus.. I remember my friend Lena who sent me a mail some time ago. I replied a mail to her in a self made envelope, I hope she received it soon.

Ah postcrossing, je t'adore trop. Thanks for letting me have some new friends from all around the world, and thanks too, for letting me got cards and mails that I never even imagined receiving before. Now everyday I'm waiting for one or more of these sweet little postcards to reach my house, and it's kinda giving me a true interest in something. Thanks! :)
